The actor will escort the Target (which can be an actor or an object) to the Destination.

Package Specific Data[edit | edit source]

  • Escort Target -- radio buttons:
    • Specific Reference: Pick an Actor or Inventory Object to escort. If escorting an object, the NPC will carry the object to the Destination.
    • Any Object:
      • Object ID: Select an object to escort.
      • Object Type: Select a type of object.
      • Count: Enter how many of the specified objects to find and escort. (Not valid if Specific Reference selected.)
      • Distance: Distance to maintain near the escorted actors.
  • Destination: Standard Location data -- where to escort target to.
  • Allow Search: If checked, NPC can search for items to escort, otherwise can only escort objects already in inventory. If checked, enable Standard Search Data input.

Flags[edit | edit source]

  • Continue During Combat: Invalid.
  • Pretend In Combat: Invalid.

Behavior[edit | edit source]

If the target is an actor, the actor will travel to within the specified Distance, then:

  • If the target is the player, the actor will attempt to move towards the Destination, waiting whenever the player moves outside the Distance. If the player is closer to the destination, the actor should continue to move towards the target as well.
  • Otherwise, the actor will put a special follow package on the target(s) and will then begin moving towards the Destination, maintaining the specified Distance.

If the target is an object (or objects), the actor will search for the object(s) in the Search Location, if allowed. Otherwise, the actor will pick up the object, then travel to the Destination and drop the object.
