Summary[edit | edit source]

The Factions Tab is a part of the NPC and Creature window. It displays the factions that the creature or NPC belongs to, and their rank in that faction. Factions control certain aspects of how creatures and NPCs interact with one another, as well as how they interact with the player, through things like: crime tracking, and which other factions are friends, allies, or enemies of a faction.

One example of how factions effect the game is the "Animal Friend" Perk. This perk affects the Vicious Dog, Yao Guai, Mole Rat and Mad Brahmin. Each of these creatures are members of the "Animal Friend Faction", and when the PC obtains the Perk he is added to the "Animal Friend Faction" as a "friend", hence the creatures listed above will not attack the player.

Assigning Factions[edit | edit source]

To assign a faction to a creature or NPC, drag a faction form from the Object Window > Actor Data > Factions into the Factions Tab of the Creature or NPC window. An alternative method is to Right-Click inside the Factions Tab, and select 'New' to choose from a list of Factions.
