Uses[edit | edit source]

External Emittance can be used to have some special effects take on the properties of specific lights.
Generally, this tool is used to:

  • Set lights, light effects and glows to change over the course of the day.
    • Tenpenny Tower and other settlements use the "InvertedDaylightWarmRegion" Exterior Light to simulate glow from inside the building during the night.
  • Have smoke and mist effects more closely match a lighting scheme.

Implementation[edit | edit source]

To set the emittance of an object, please follow the steps covered in the lighting tutorial.
