:: I think I may have found the way (or another way).  First, find the NPC you want to change under ''Actors-NPC''.  Where the tabs are, click the AI Package tab and note the name of the EditorID entry.  For example, Paladin Bael, who guards the Citadel, always has his weapon drawn.  Under AI Package, he has one entry: "CitadelBrotherhoodKnightGateGuardPackage".  Then, under ''Actor Data-Package'', find that EditorID and open it up.  Under the Flags tab, there is a box you can check called "Weapon Drawn".  That box is checked for Bael, and he always has his weapon drawn (or draws it as soon as you teleport there).  For NPC Companions, they sometimes have several EditorIDs.  For Star Paladin Cross, she has 5+, but two of them are tagged as Follow.  If you check the Weapon Drawn box on those two EditorIDs, she'll always have her weapon drawn.  My hope is that this may also resolve the problem where NPCs sometime pull out their melee weapon when the first move to attack, even if they're set to use ranged weapons.  I'll experiement with this more tomorrow and report back if any of the above is wrong.  [[User:Servius|Servius]] 04:37, 15 January 2009 (UTC)

::: This worked as I thought it might.  My next question is whether it's purely animation or if it's real.  For example, I may see STC with her gun drawn, but if we get into combat, will there still be a delay before she fires that equals how long it used to take her to unholster the weapon, or is it really drawn, in which case she can fire instantly.  My hope is that it's real, so she can fire instantly.  If this is not the case, I'll write more.  [[User:Servius|Servius]] 20:28, 15 January 2009 (UTC)
