DW likes it with two L's ??

Huh? I didn't create any of the user categories on this Wiki... and Category:Modeller does not appear to exist in any case.

I was referring to the User Category on the CS Wiki, which you created. The two L's is for consistency, it's both correct spelling so it doesn't really matter. I was about to create the missing user categories, but I had to run, I will do so now.

Translations

Looks like you had a fair bit of work cleaning up after Ventarix - yech, you poor thing! On the other hand, providing properly linked translations would be pretty awesome: I believe the wiki has the facility to provide translations of pages, if translators write 'em. Looks like, even though he did 'em wrong, Ventraix went to a lot of work in his translations, and from what little I know of the language, the translations look accurate, so the fact that he didn't know the right way to go about it is really no shame on him.

So even though he made a ton of work for you, maybe using your greater, editor-level knowledge of the wiki to point him in the correct direction of the appropriate translation tools might have been more constructive and encouraging, and been a somewhat better reward for his hard work than threats. At least, in my own community management, I've found that suggesting how the well-meaning-but-wrong people might be helpful the *right* way tends to give better returns on my investment of time.

Particularly with translators: getting just one on the job tends to attract an entire country of helpers. They're like helper-magnets! And those helpers don't just focus on the translated pages: as they translate from English, they fix up the English pages too. Much good fan-juice.

Just a thought, and I'm aware it might sound like "trying to tell you your job" - if it does, I apologise. 20:02, 8 April 2009 (UTC)
